The data used in this metric comes from 'Children in low income families: local area statistics'. This is a new data set published by the Department for Work and Pensions (DWP) and HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC), as from March 2020. The metric shows the proportion of children living in families whose income is less than 60% of the national median. This is before housing costs (eg mortgage, rent) are taken into consideration.
The data is available at LSOA (Lower super output level) and ward levels (see sub menu above). For more information on areas, see Calderdale MSOAs, LSOAs and COAs by postcode.
